How to Make a Beer Bottle Wind Chime

Have you ever wondered whether there was something useful you could do with those aluminum beer bottles, other than simply throwing them in your recycling bin? How about a beer bottle wind chime? Show your neighbors how incredibly crafty you are, with a unique wind chime that costs you nothing more than the price of a six-pack!
First: Materials needed for a beer bottle wind chime
To assemble your beer bottle wind chime, you need a horseshoe, clear fishing line, three aluminum beer bottles and decorations of your choice.
Second: Prepare the beer bottles
After enjoying your favorite brew, wash and thoroughly dry the beer bottles. If possible, try to get bottles in different colors. If you are feeling particularly artistic, now is the time to decorate your bottles, either by painting a design on them, or adding a little bit of glitter.
Third: Assemble the wind chime
Take your fishing line, and cut three pieces, each measuring 2 1/2 feet long. Tie a length of fishing line around the first bottle, double knotting it to ensure that it does not slip off. Repeat this with the other bottles. Thread one of the pieces of fishing line through the hole at either end of the horseshoe and the third through the center hole. Wrap each line through the hole at least three times, to ensure that it stays in place. Hang the bottles at about the same length.
Fourth: Hang the wind chime
Bring all the lines back together above the horseshoe, and tie them together into a ring. Find an appropriate place in your garden to hang the wind chime, sit back, and enjoy your handiwork!
Fifth: A word of caution
Only use aluminum bottles to create your beer bottle wind chime; glass bottles and wind do not mix!
